论加尔文反抗世俗政权的思想

新教徒因为信仰而遭受世俗政权镇压时 ,是否可以反抗 ?加尔文的态度是矛盾的。在理论上 ,他一方面主张臣民要无条件地服从世俗政权 ,另一方面又的确提出可以反抗违背上帝意志的邪恶统治者 ,这两种主张在自然法的神权政治论上有着共同的逻辑前提。在实践上 ,他则坚决反对任何反抗的行动 ,这是中世纪教会传统和新教神学思想共同作用下的必然结果

On the Theory and Practice of John Calvin''''s Attitude towards Resistance

John Calvin's attitude towards the issue whether it is lawful to rebel the civil authority, especially those unjust kings or magistrates when Protestants are persecuted is very complicated. Contradiction determined by the internal conflicts of his thought exists not only between his theories, but also between his theory and practices. He put forward from the outset both unlawful and lawful resistance in theory, and developed the theory of lawful resistance afterwards. In practice,however,he declined the request of lawful resistance,which marked the natural result of the cooperation of medieval ecclesiastical tradition and protestant theology.
