| Abstract: | The author states that reading is a human activity that has a variety of characteristics:it is socially widespread;it is distinctive with different groups;it keeps changing with the times,and it is a leisurely entertainment.In addition,famous people and celebrites are found to be typical readers in some ways.The author holds that rethinking the nature and characteristics of reading is of realistic significance to the promotion of reading activities among the public. |
