| Abstract: | With regard to the different editions of The Ode to Those Who Go over the South Sea, a lengthy dialetical ode of talking and singing circulating amony Chinese communities in South Fujian and Taiwan and Southeast Asia, the author discusses the background of its emerging and state of its circulation and relation between its variants; and delves further into the cultural implication of its theme of encourgement. |
