明末清初在华天主教各修会的传教策略述论

近年来 ,多数关于中国明清时期天主教史的研究作品 ,多讨论耶稣会士的在华活动及其“适应”策略 ,而对其他修会 ,包括道明会和方济会的研究较少谈及。该文运用多种中、西材料 ,将明末清初在华的三个主要修会的来华人数及不同的传教方法进行了简要比较。并从不同修会间的固有冲突的角度来探讨中国礼仪之争的部分根源和不同避免性。

A Review of the Policies of Different Catholic Orders Working in China in Late Ming and Early Qing Dynasties

Few contributions that appeared in China Mainland these years on the history of Chiristianity in China concerned the activities of other societies like the Order of Preachers and the Order of Friars Minors.Scholars discussed the work and the "accommodation policy"of the Order of Jesus a lot.This author compares simply the number of friars and Jesuits and the different attitudes towards the Chinese rites and their working methods.This article also gives a discussion of the root of the Rites Controversy and its ineluctability.
