Comparision of the Cultural Differences between China and the United States Reflected in Family Album U.S.A

Family Album U.S.A is a very practical audio-visual English teaching course for the English learners of intermediate level. Through studying, we can not only learn the idiomatic modern American spoken English, but aslo understand further the American culture and the cultural difference between China and the United States. Cultural difference often plays an important role in the cross-cultural communication.This paper tries to compare these differences mainly from the following aspects: marriage customs, body touch, gift acception, pets, etiquette, superstitions, independence, etc. aiming to offer help to English learners.
