因果轮回观念与明清长篇小说

中国固有的善恶果报思想与佛教的轮回观念相融合,形成了中国特色的因果轮回思想。这种观念不仅影响着世人的思想,同时也影响了明清小说的创作。在这种因果轮回观念的影响下,明清时期出现了两类存在因果轮回观念的长篇小说:一类是由原著及其续书构成的因果轮回小说系列,如水浒系列、金瓶梅系列、红楼系列等;一类是存在完整的因果轮回故事的作品,如《醒世姻缘传》、《隋唐演义》、《说岳全传》等。
