The cultural absence in long-distance education is increasingly foregrounded due to the influx of foreign culture and the commercialization of long-distance education. In order to clear up the binary opposition between the instrumental property and humanity in long-distance education, we should make cultural selections all through the process of long-distance educational program. We should rely on the power of culture to decide on the objects of long-distance education, adjust the educational content and methods, and establish a new long-distance educational mode fit for the information age.
