| 摘 要： | To develop small—sized special public libraries in the cities is favourable to enlarging thecoverage of library services.The optimum size of library holdings is 100 thousand,because thatis the time when the availability of the holdings reaches the highest level.Besides,the investmentof establishing a number of small—sized libraries is much less than that of establishing a largerone.
