| Abstract: | Engagement attempts to explain how the writer employs language to negotiate the relationship of alignment or disalignment and adopt stances to construct textual personas.Based on engagement and social lingustics,democratic and autocratic strategies are set out and applied to analyse how the lawyer present his style in the courtroom interaction. |
