Abstract: | Undergraduate students of today often lack the ability to effectively process research-based literature. In order to offer education students the most up-to-date methods, research-based literature must be considered. Hence a dilemma is born as to whether professors should discontinue requiring the processing of this type of information or teach effective skills on how to process research-based information. This article offers a solution by way of an updated version of a reading strategy designed for the college-level student known as SQ6R. This guide offers students a systematic approach to understanding complex research studies. Explanation of each step of the method is offered. |
