西方殖民主义视野下的中国形象及影响

在20世纪30年代西方有关中国的两部畅销小说《消失的地平线》、《人的状况》中，中国呈现出两种截然相反的形象。中国形象的两极差异并非认知水平所致，它们隐含着共同的西方殖民视角，是西方利用中国形象服务于殖民话语，论证西方文明统治东方文明的合法性而有意识确立的话语霸权。

The Image of China in the View of Western Colonialism and Its Impact on Chinese Literature

In Westem literature, China＇s image is usually classified into two kinds--Utopia and Hell. Both Lost Horizon and La Condition Humaine were best sellers in the West in 1930s. In these two works, totally different opinions about China＇s image were shown. In this paper, the author conducts a case study on the basis of the two works, analyzes the colonialism view embodied in them, expounds how the traditional view of China＇ s image was used to prove the legitimacy of colonialism, and tries to find out its impacts on Chinese literature.
