Abstract:This is a comparative study of English learning strategies on listening of two groups of non-English major students of Central University of Nationalities,one belonging to Han people and the other,ethnic minorities from Southwest of China.Based on the results of the listening comprehension test and the learning strategies questionnaire,the study set out to investigate the differences of learning strategies adopted by the said two groups of students,and trying to find out appropriate learning strategies for students,especially for ethnic minorities students.
