On"Planned Education" in Hubei Province during the Anti-Japanese War

During the Anti-Japanese War, Chen Cheng was in change of Hubei government again, According to the needs of society and politics at that time, he practiced "the planned education" in the whole province, and adjusted the overall arrangement of schools and colleges at different levels, he also reformed the content of teaching and morality of the school and college as well as made overall plans and took all factors into consideration of the students' entering higher schools and getting jobs. This was a ruling policy of education during the war. This paper inspects the background and the process of the policy's being carried out, and analyses its historical effects and its flaws.
