学术语体中模糊限制语的语用研究

摘    要:学术语体中的模糊限制语已经成为越来越多的语言学家和二语习得研究者的研究对象。文章从介绍模糊限制语的定义、语言体现形式入手,重点讨论了以往对学术语体中模糊限制语的功能的研究。对模糊限制语的语用研究主要体现在三个角度:对命题本身的影响;对作者与命题之间的关系的影响;对作者与读者之间的关系的影响。在讨论以往研究的基础上,作者指出不应忽视模糊限制语强化观点的功能。

Abstract:More and more linguists and researchers in Second Language Acquisition are becoming interested in hedges in academic writing. Starting from its definition and linguistic realization, the present paper focuses on the pragmatic functions of hedges in academic writing. The previous study of the various functions of hedges mainly came from the following three perspectives: its effect on the proposition itself; its effect on the relationship between the writer and the proposition; its effect on the relationship between the writer and the audience or the readers. On the basis of studying the previous findings, the author points out that hedges have two sides: weakening and strengthening, the latter being neglected in previous studies, which shouldn't have been.
