| Abstract: | The paper analyses the problems existing in foreign language education in China by observing and comparing the main features of the traditional foreign language education and the requirements modern society puts for foreign language education. The paper points out that modern foreign language education should pay equal attention to both imparting language knowledge and developing students communicative competence. And some suggestions have been made on how to reform the current foreign language education. |
