从违反会话合作原则的特殊含义看话语的象征力量

Grice认为会话是受规则或条件限制的，人们在会话时要遵循“合作原则”。但没有详细说明人们在套话时为什么经常故意违反合作原则。其实话语的修辞性（话语的象征力量）弥补了合作原则之不足。话语不过是话语修辞者（或说话者）根据其修辞目的和语境，利用多种修辞资源对其受众表达思想或进行说服的行为而已。

Grice thought that communication is influenced by some rules and maxims of conversation. People must obey co-operative principle during the course of conversion. But in fact, people usually disobey the co-operative principle on purpose in the course of conversation. We can get the reason why people disobey the co-operative principle in their utterance from the art of rhetoric. In the rhetorician's opinion, utterance is nothing but the course of persuasion or self-expression according to the rhetorician's purpose, trying to make full use of the resources of rhetoric.
