王鸿祯先生是我国著名的,有代表性的地质学家。在近70年的地质生涯中,王鸿祯先生刻苦精进、慎思博学,不仅在地质科学诸多领域成果卓著,同时在地质教育、地质学史、地学思维方面耕耘育才,点引筹划,深思积虑,成为德高望重的地质大家。2006年王鸿祯先生90华诞,本文是作者几十年亲身经历,有感而发的行文,表现了王鸿祯先生的学术贡献、成长轨迹和学术思想的形成。

Famous Geological Scientist:Professor Wang Hongzhen

Wang Hongzhen who is a famous and representative geologist has engaged in geological career almost for 70 years. He has achieved a lot of fruits not only in geosciences but also in geological education, the history of geology and the ways of geological thinking by immersion in study. He, who has cultivated many persons with ability, was known as a respectful great master. This article that was written in 2006 when Hongzhen Wang was 90 years old expresses the formation of academic contributions, growing path as well as academic thinking that came from my experience in several decades.
