试析毛泽东的农民观

毛泽东在领导中国革命的过程中,充分认识到农民是中国民主革命的主力军,中国共产党必须通过土地革命,发动和领导农民,开展武装斗争,方能取得革命的胜利从而开辟了一条以农村包围城市,最后夺取全国政权的革命道路。在社会主义建设时期,毛泽东又提出了农业是国民经济基础的思想。但由于客观上受到国际环境变化的压力,主观上急于求成,在农业和农民政策上,犯了“大跃进”、“人民公社化”、“四清”、“文化大革命”等一系列左的错误。

A Tentative Analysis of Mao Zedong's Viewpoint of the Peasants

In the course of his leading the Chinese revolution, Mao Zedong was fully aware that thepeasants were the main force in the democratic revolution of China. He was also fully aware that it wasonly through the agrarian revolution, through mobilizing and leading the peasants, and through carryingon armed struggle that the Communist Party of China could win the victory in revolution. So he inaugurat-ed a revolutionary way of encircling the cities from the rural areas and then capturing them, leading to theseizing of the state power. During the period of socialist construction, Mao Zedong put forward the idea ofagriculture being the foundation of national economy. But a series of mistakes were made concerning agri-culture and the policy on the peasant, because of the objective pressure of the international environmenton the one hand and the subjective mentality of being impatient for success on the other. These mistakesincluded the "Great Leap Forward," the "movement to set up people's communes," the "four clean-ups" movement, and the "Cultural Revolution."
