论莫高窟晚唐第9窟探筹图非投壶图

The painting on the flat ceiling to the south of the central pillar in the Later Tang Cave 9 at the Mogao Grottoes has long been identified as illustrating Vajradhara.However,some scholars have identified the scene in that illustration as throwing pots rather than drawing lots.A comparison of the documents and the images suggests that this scene should be identified as 'a scene of drawing lots rather than throwing pots.
