英汉动物隐喻形态的文化认知模式构析

在认知隐喻视角下从联想方式、形式与概念对应情况及喻体喻义异同方面考察英汉动物隐喻形态与文化认知模式的关系。一方面追本溯源探究动物喻体选择背后的风俗习惯、生活方式、神话传说、文学传统、历史典故、情感价值等方面的文化认知模式如何引导和制约隐喻表达的构造;另一方面分析隐喻表达的形态,推导出隐喻表达背后的文化认知模式。通过这两方面的探讨,展示文化如何为词语联想提供同现语境、先验语境和聚合。

Construction and Interpretation of Cognitive Cultural Models of Animal-related Metaphors in Chinese and English

From the perspective of cognitive metaphors, the article attempts to construct and interpret the relationship between cognitive cultural models and animal-related metaphors in Chinese and English in the aspects of associative routes, the matching between concepts and forms and the similarity and difference of vehicle and its figurative sense in both English and Chinese. On one hand, it explores how cognitive cultural models guide and constrain the selection of animal vehicles;on the other hand it analyzes metaphorical expressions and then infers the cultural models behind them. These two approaches combined demonstrate the way culture provides for word association co-text, prior text and cohesion.
