| Abstract: | This paper analyzes prepositions at,on,in by using the useful cognitive instrument image schemas and the orientation metaphor theory of cognitive linguistics and investigates the cognitive motivation which causes the extension of the original meanings of at,on,in to their metaphorical meanings. |
