| Abstract: | The anthor tries to probe into the euphemistic expressions in English mainly from the pragmatic point of view.The euphemistic expressions include the euphemistic words and phrases as well as the expressions which are formed by various linguistic means with euphemistic function. In the light of some pragmatic principles, the author concentrates on the pragmatic feature of euphemistic expressions and the communicative tacts they reflect . |
