On the "Data-Driven Learning" Approach of Teaching Depth Knowledge of English Vocabulary

The acquisition of the depth knowledge of English vocabulary remains a vexing problem in the current English classrooms. The ＂Data-Driven Learning＂ approach, which takes advantage of the corpus for the purpose of vocabulary teaching, can be helpful to the learners in their acquisition of the depth knowledge of vocabulary. This paper examines the strength of the ＂Data-Driven Learning＂ approach of teaching depth knowledge of English vocabulary from the perspective of information processing theory, and explores the relevant strategy of application, with a view to inustrating new possibilities for the innovation of vocabulary teaching.
