| 摘 要： | 我国乡镇图书馆的发展已有半个多世纪的历史，它在新农村建设中发挥着重要的作用。这些作用包括：它们是乡村科学普及的重要工具、乡村精神文明建设的重要基地和乡村民族文化传承的宝库等。而要充分发挥图书馆的作用，必须加强图书馆的建设。

| Abstract: | The development of the rural libraries in our country has a long history of more than half a century, which are very important in the new countryside reconstruction because they are the important tools for science and technology popularization, the base for spirit civilization construction,and the treasure-house of the national culture＇s transmission and conservation. We need to strengthen the rural library construction in order to bring their functions into full play. |
