“东西南北”方位词翻译的汉英文化对比

汉英俗语承载着民族独特而丰富的文化传统。从词义、结构和音韵上的修辞格视角及认知视角对含有“东西南北”方位词的汉英习语和流行语进行分析，发现其例证了汉英鲜明的民族形象和多样的意识对比，继而探求流行语所折射出的当代中国在高速前进中努力寻求各方面和谐发展的特点，提出同一语料在不同语境中应采用不同的翻译技巧，并讨论需不断结合最新语料对汉英文化进一步研究的问题。

A Contrastive Study of English and Chinese Cultures from the Perspective of Nouns of Locality Translation

On the basis of nouns of locality(east,west,south and north) and their containing cultural diversities,this paper attempts to probe the different cultural features in Chinese and British nations from the perspectives of Rhetoric and Cognition,and shows that flexible translation strategies should be employed in dealing with different language situations,which is of great significance in cross-cultural communication.More attention is expected to be drawn to this aspect with the latest corpus.
