On the character Gollum from The Lord of the Rings

Tolkien,in his fantasy trilogy The Lord of the Rings depicts numerous different characters from different races,from whom,Tolkien showed his theme of what was good and what was evil,and human’s pursuit of the good.Therefore,Tolkien fans and scholars discussed and researched on the theme mostly from the perspective of the metaphorical meaning of the One Ring.This paper explained Tolkien’ s attitude towards the good and the evil by analyzing the character Gollum.
