| Abstract: | This paper attempts to analyze the regional features of place names in Guangdong Province.The entire province is divided in this paper into four regions in accordance with dialects and location: Middle Guangdong,Southeast Guangdong,North Guangdong and West Guangdong.An analysis is made by using mainly the linguistic approach on features of place names within each region and on differences among these regions.The Multi-cultural factors are as well discussed from historical and geographical perspectives. |
