| Abstract: | Abstract: In this paper, the authors expound that we, the librarians of university libraries, should utilize the advantage of academic subjects in our own schools and the superiority of collections in our own libraries to develop characteristic databases. And the authors summarize the principles and the strategies of selecting the topics of characteristic databases. At the same time, the authors introduce the progress of Tianjin University Library using "Tsinghua Tongfang Profession Information"(TPI) system. |
