| 摘 要： | 语言学理论的创立与语言学家为自己确立的理论目的密切相关,自从乔姆斯基把解释的充分性作为语言学理论的目的以来,理论的解释力成了语言学家们衡量理论的标准。但是什么是真正的科学意义上的解释以及解释的对象是什么,这仍然是一个尚未有共识的问题。对于这两个问题的不同回答导致了不同的语言学理论的发展。

| Abstract: | The creation of linguistic theories is closely related to the purposes linguists set for their work. Ever since Chomsky took explanatory adequacy as the very purpose of linguistic theory, it has become the standard criterion for linguists to measure the success of linguistic theories. However it is still not clear what is an explanation in a real scientific sense and what is the object of explanation. On these two related questions there is not yet a consensus in the linguistic community. Different answers to these two questions have led to different developments in linguistic theorization. |
