Google Translator provides powerful multi-lingual translation of words,sentences and whole passages,with amazing rapidity and a certain degree of readability and reliability,thus becoming an essential tool for foreign language learners and translators.Taking C-E translation of publicity materials as examples,this article finds that the performance of Google Translator is not stable,sometimes good,sometimes bad,but all of the translations are far from ideal.At present,Google Translator cannot yet take the place of human translators,but can only serve as an effective assistant and supplement.
