哈特和耐格里合著的《帝国》认为,随着全球化的进展,民族国家的主权不可逆转地趋向衰落,资本主义经济导致了一种新的全球秩序、全球规则和全球结构,最终形成一种新的主权形式——帝国。其实,“帝国论”并没有超出列宁对帝国主义的分析,“帝国”也并非世界历史发展的唯一选项。
