| Abstract: | The progress in studies of phase change materials (PCM)for energy storage were reviewed. The characteristics and types of phase change material were introduced. The properties, advantages and disadvantages of solid - liquid and solid - solid phase change material were discussed. Some present problems and their solutions in the application of PCMs were pointed out and the prospective development of PCMs was anticipated. |
