| Abstract: | The article proposes some common problems in learning English vocabulary. In the light of relevant linguistic theory especially the contrastive analysis between Chinese and English vocabulary, and the process in vocabulary acquisition, try to conclude that teaching vocabulary is very important in teaching English and teachers should explain more about the background knowledge of the vocabulary. |
