The glass flowers of Harvard's Botanical Museum

The Botanical Museum of Harvard University houses an extensive collection of entire plants and plant structures modelled in glass with exquisite accuracy. They were made in Germany, over a period of some fifty years commencing 1887, by the Blaschkas, father and son. Although some deterioration is now causing concern, and support is needed for their conservation, they remain a unique example of scientific artistry.
