The purpose of this article is to show the agriculture and the peasants' life in the traditional Hakka society by using the folk songs, stories and sayings, together with the historical records. In my view, the characterstics of the agriculture and the peasants' life in the traditional Hakka society mainly include: 1.the special hilly agriculture.2 the rich working experience of the peasants and their poor life.3.the major labours-Hakka women.
