摘    要:母语在外语教学中的作用和影响一直是研究领域的焦点之一。研究者们对此提出了许多相似或相悖的假说,并从语言学、心理学和文化等角度对各自的学说进行论证。只是研究的重心大都在语言的负迁移,对母语的积极作用、正面影响关注不多。通过对母语迁移观点的评析,依据外语教学的理论和实践,探讨母语在大学英语教学的积极作用。

Abstract:The effect of mother tongue on foreign language teaching has always been one of the focuses in the area of research.Researchers have presented many similar and contrasting hypotheses pertinent to this research question,and have tested their respective theories from the perspective of linguistics,psychology,and cultural studies.However,the emphasis of those studies has been placed on the negative transfer,and no much attention has been given to the positive effects of mother tongue.Based on theories and practice of language teaching,this paper first brings forth the analysis of the two different views on transfer of mother tongue and then discusses the positive effect in college English teaching.
