摘    要:应用文献资料法,对促使身体可持续发展的科学目标与手段、动静、形神命题进行讨论。研究结果表明,动、静适宜才能形神共养,形、神共养才能健康长寿。只强调运动不够全面,动以养形、静以养神、动静适宜、形神兼备,才是科学的身体发展目标与手段。

Abstract:Based on large amount of historical document study and guided by dialectical materialism and historical materi-alism, the authors focused the paper on a discussion of the scientific aims, means and the relationship between exerciseand rest and between body and mind for achieving sustained body health. The results indicated that only by keeping a proper balance between exercise and rest, could people cultivate both physique and mind, thus attaining the aim of health and longevity. The authors hold that only emphasizing "exercise" as people did in the past is one-sided, "exercise" can cultivate the body while "rest" can cultivate the culture of the mind. By giving consideration to both exercise and rest,people can get sound in both body and mind. This is the scientific aim and means for keeping sustained body health.
