The comparative study of the traditional Uygur stories in folktale and film forms

Since the film series Avanti Stories achieved great success and became popular among the audience, Avanti＇s image has been generally accepted. With a comparative study between Avanti story in the film series and Uygur folktales, the paper demonstrates that the filmmakers transformed the Islamic contents,the relationship between marriage and love,and Avanti＇s image within the original stories in terms of the social context, which articulates the demands of mainstream ideology and audience＇ reception o Such adaptations offer a typical case to show how a literary image was crossculturally accepted ,and how a transmedia communication operates as well.
