古代广西的城池研究

广西地处祖国南部边陲,城池建设的历史和成就虽比不上中原,但也有自己的特点。封建统治者为防范、镇压少数民族是筑城的根本原因。多采取官督民建、官府出资、士绅捐助、民间献力的办法筑城。由于广西地瘠民贫,修建城池的条件不充分,导致广西各地城池的规模普遍偏小、简陋。受经济发展不平衡的影响,城池分布也不平衡,桂北、桂东南地区多,桂西地区少。城池的修建对地方发展亦具有重要意义。

Research on the City Construction of Guangxi in Ancient Times

Situated at the southern bonder area of China,Guangxi had its own characteristics in the history and achievement of city construction.Guarding and suppressing national minority was the basic reason for the fortification,which was done by the government's investment,the gentry's doration,etc.Because Guangxi's soil was barren and people were poor,the city construction was in small scale.Influenced by the economic development,the city distribution was not balanced,there were many in the north and southeast but few in the west.
