论农村人口文化素质现状及其影响

长期以来，我国农村人口整体文化素质低下。1997年农村劳动力中，初中及其以下程度劳动力比重高达88．3％，经过五年左右的发展，2001年农村劳动力中，初中及初中以下文化程度劳动力比重依然高达87．8％。这不仅影响了我国农业生产效率的提高和农村各项事业的发展，也影响了农民生存方式的变革。通过各种途径提高农村人口文化水平，使他们摆脱愚昧和贫困，改善生存方式，提高生活质量，逐步走上小康之路。是我们的目标所至，也是“以人为本”思想的内在要求。

On the Improvement of Rural Population''''s Culture Quality and the Alternation of Farmers'''' Living Way

In a long stage, the entire culture quality of China's rural population is low. The labor force, who only graduated from junior school or even didn't graduate from junior school, accounted for 88.3% of total number of rural labor force in 1997. About five years' later, the number still remains at a higher level of 87.8% in 2001. This fact not only influences the improvement of China's agriculture productivity and the development of China's rural various projects, but also influences the innovation of farmers' living way. It is not only our object, but also the inherent demand of humanism, that adopting various ways to improve rural population's culture level, to help them unload from stupidity and poverty, to better their way of life, and to gradually step on to the road of awealthy life.
