| Abstract: | Applying the approach to translation as adaptation and selection,this paper compares and analyzes the original text of Hemingway's Cat in the Rain and Cao Yong's translated text.It points out the central position and leading role of a translator,his adaptation and selection process,the mechanism that restricts him,and his role in literary translation. |
