教师继续教育是教师专业发展的基本途径。教师继续教育的过程，从某种意义上讲是教师继续教育贷源的利用和开发的过程。长期以来，我国教师继续教育资源欠缺、分散，同时还有浪费等现象。为了优质、高效地实施教师继续教育。促进教师专业化发展，需要对教师继续教育资源进行科学地调整和重组——即整合。
