21世纪是一个全球化的时代，而信息技术的发展，使知识更趋于国际化。英语作为国际通用语言则更显示其显赫的地位。在我国，通过传统英语教学法培养出来的笔头还行而口头表达能力极差的大学生已经不能满足形势的需要。所以，改革传统的教学模式势在必行。鉴于以上状况，作者略谈将现代交际教学法应用于英语教学，力图探索出一条有效的用于高职高专学生英语教学的可行之路。．

First Probe into the Application of Modern Communicative Approach to English Teaching High Professional Colleges

the 21th century is the time of globalization, with the rapid development of IT, knowledge has become internationalized. English as an international language has shown its more and more dominating position in the world. In China, the students taught with traditional English - teaching method are far beyond meeting the need of the situation. Therefore the reforming of the old traditional teaching method must be done. Based on the case, the writer has a brief talk on how to use modem communicative teaching approach in English teaching, trying to find out an efficient way in English teaching for the students in high professional colleges.
