Regarding the Great River Battle and the Transformation of Tang and Tubo Policy

The great river battle is an important historical event in the history of the relationship be- tween the Tang dynasty and the Tubo kingdom. While as certaining the place in history of the great river battle, and comparing the forces of both sides and changes in the strength of the parties, the author dem- onstrates the inevitability of this great river battle. Using foreign relations as the starting point, the au- thor discusses how the Tang dynasty impacted Tubo policies and how the Tubo kingdom impacted Tang dynasty strategy through this historical event.
