Reform on Higher Education Diploma and Degree in France

This paper introduces the present higher education system and the recent reform on diploma and degree in France with elaborate illustration of its background.To strengthen international competitiveness and technological innovation,the member countries of European Union intends to enhance the cooperation and communication among the member countries in the field of higher education,and establish European "Space" of higher education.As the axis of European Union,France claims strongly the unification of higher education system within European Union,and it will begin to implement the new European higher education system in the autumn of 2005.Furthermore,this paper compares the mutual recognition of higher education certificates between China and France.
