摘    要:随着光放大器和色度色散补偿技术的不断提高,光纤的偏振模色散(PMD)已经成为限制超高速、超长距离光纤通信系统发展的主要因素。在40 Gbit/s或更高速率的光纤通信系统中,PMD的影响已不可忽略,必须考虑PMD的补偿问题。文章从PMD引起的脉冲展宽角度,对40 Gbit/s光通信系统中常用的几种pMD补偿技术的使用做了比较分析,指出自适应的主偏振态传输补偿技术比一阶后补偿技术和主偏振态传输补偿技术具有一定的优越性。

Abstract:With. the development of high-bit rate optical transmission systems, PMD has become the main factor of limiting the development of high-speed and super-long distance optical communication system. In the optical communication system of 40 Gbit/s or higher rate, the influence of PMD can not be neglected, the compensation has to be considered. The frequently applied PMD compensation techniques in 40 Gbit/s optical communication are analyzed comparatively,and it shows that adaptive PSP compensation has more advantages than PSP compensation and post compensation.
