Abstract:Many coaches and athletes begin to appreciate the important relationships between sports performance and protein supplementation with a development of competing sports. Effects of protein supplementation on exercise performance are significantly helpful by prolonging exercise time and increasing exercise ability as well as rehabilitating fatigue, etc. The article concludes a large number of studies on sports performance and protein supplement, and gives some suggestions to coaches and athletes on how to supply protein according to different effects which different kinds of protein (or amino acid) supplementations arouse.
