论培养英语专业学生逻辑思维的口语教学模式

摘    要:口头语言体现人类认知世界的思维方式,而且人类的语言逻辑思维方式具有共性。然而,对英语专业大一学生的英语口语考试录音分析和考后访谈,发现他们欠缺基本的逻辑思维能力。原因在于平时的英语教学过于强调民族间相异的思维方式,而忽略了培养共性的基本思维方式。因此,英语口语课堂上应该运用有效的教学模式:获取概念,归纳和探究,这不仅能够提高学生的英语口语能力,还能提高他们在对比比照,获得概念,归纳分类和探究思考方面的逻辑能力。

On the Spoken English Teaching Models Cultivating the Logical Thinking of Students Majoring in English

Abstract:Spoken languages demonstrate the thinking patterns by which human beings perceive the objective world, and in which people around the world share similarities. However, taking the freshmen in English major for instance, the records of their final performance in spoken English course and the individual inter- view show that they do not possess any basic logical thinking skills. The reason lies in that the current English teaching usually over-emphasizes the national differences in logical thinking but ignores the training for students' basic logical thinking patterns. Therefore, the spoken English class should introduce some effec- tive teaching models: concept gaining, induction and exploration. Those models not only help to improve students' speaking skills, but cultivate their logical thinking skills in terms of comparison and contrast, concept gaining, induction, classification and ex- ploration.
