校长角色与职能的再认识

摘    要:校长角色与职能的定位是关系到校长在当今不断变化的社会和变革的教育中向何处发展的根本问题。通过对历史的考察,可以看到校长主要有学校的组织和管理、教学的监督和领导、学校———社区关系的协调和维护三项主要工作,有教育家、社会活动家和行政干部三种类型。在当前教育属性、学校属性和教育领域劳动分工出现变化的参照背景下,校长面临职业化和专业化的挑战。我们应该倡导校长专业化,并对其角色和职能提出具体要求,建构促进校长发展的制度、伦理、团体、知识能力和培养体系。

Abstract:How to orientate principals' role and function is a basic problem w ith regard to the principals' de-velopment in the changing society an d education.Through a brief historical investigation,we find principals mainly do the following three kinds of work:organizing and managing the school,inspecting and leading the instructional work,maintaining and improving the school -community relationship,and moreover play three roles:educationists,social activists and officials.But the profession of principals is alwa ys changing.Now,along with the chan ge of e-ducation,school,and labor divisio n in education,principals are faced with the challenge of specializatio n and professionalization.So,we should advocate the principals' specialization and then make the principals' role,function and task more specific in order to construct a system of institut ions,ethics,societies,knowledge and training to improve the development of principals.
