| 摘 要： | 作为新一代的视、音频压缩标准，MPEG-4不仅比MPEG-1和MPEG-2有更高的压缩比，更低的带宽要求，而且其基于对象的技术能实现内容上的对象互动。这将为网络信息交流带来革命性的变化，对人们的工作和生活将产生深远的影响。着重介绍MPEG-4标准的特点以及在校园网中的典型应用。

| Abstract: | As an open, international standard, MPEG-4 not only could bring much more than improved compression, provide optimal audio/video quality for low-and high-bandwidth network, but also basing on object coding technique feature, could let original authors in a limit of operation function scope commutative with object. It will bring revolutionary change for network information communication and deeply influence people's work and life. In this paper, the author mainly introduces the feature of MPEG-4 and its typical appplication. |
